One of the many great mysteries of the realms is the existence of the Guild of Druids.  The philosophy of the druids is simple, it is to espouse neutrality and to study the forces of nature and the elements.  Why they exist and from where they derive their power is the mystery.

In ages past three Gods met in secret conclave, for they were dissatisified with the works that they brethren wrought upon the Realms.Carsten, Lord of the Earth, Veliannis, Lord of Nature and Yannik, the Lord of the Elements came to an understanding.  They decided that they would bring into being a new order, a balance, something that would forever unify the Realms.  They called this balance the Guild of Druids. To this day the neutral stance of the druids is maintained.  Their ancient heritage is revealed only in the titles by which they are known.  They are a secretive, yet deadly group.  Slow to anger, the druids may yet one day awake and discover that they are truly strong.

Twice has the Guild been torn down by the Gods and twice has it been rebuilt by one or more of their number.  The last occasion was the time the Ancient One intervened and showed the last fragments of the Druids how to unlock the power contained in amulets.  Power there is in rock and branch, in leaf and soaring bird.  Power there is for those that seek and those that find.  Power to do whatever it is that is needed to maintain the balance.
